Meet Dr. Rogers


Howard Wooding Rogers, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Howard Rogers graduated from Harvard University in 1989 with magna cum laude honors.  He performed two years of medical research at Harvard Medical School during this time and was awarded the Swasey Scholorship for distinction in medical pursuits.

Dr. Rogers then attended Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.  He graduated with honors, with both an M.D. and a Ph.D. His Ph.D. thesis involved seminal research into mechanisms of infectious immunity.  At graduation, Dr. Rogers was awarded the Olin Fellowship (in recognition of his advanced medical research) and the Yalem Dermatology Award (for excellence in Dermatology scholarship).

Dr. Rogers completed his internship in internal medicine at University Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.  He then completed three years of dermatology residency at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.  While a dermatology resident, he won numerous awards including being elected chief resident.  Dr. Rogers then completed a fellowship in Mohs surgery and cutaneous surgical oncology at University of Cincinnati Hospital and The Skin Cancer Center.  He is the author of numerous scientific publications of his immunology and dermatology research. 

Dr. Rogers has been in private practice in Connecticut over the past ten years, focusing on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin cancers.  He has treated approximately 25,000 skin cancer cases.  Dr. Rogers is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, The American College of Mohs Surgery, the American Society of Mohs Surgery and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
